Skip Resolutions: Do These 3 things for a Powerful 2026
The collective inhale happens every January without fail. We can all feel it – that quiet pressure to reinvent ourselves overnight, conversations about fresh starts circulating before we’ve even put away the holiday decorations.
By the time December 31st arrives, a lot of us are already bracing for promises we’re about to make and half-expecting them to dissolve by February. I’ve watched it happen to myself, to clients, to practitioners in our community. It’s exhausting.
2026 is a numerology “one year” – when you add the digits together (2+0+2+6), you get 10, which reduces to 1. One carries the energy of beginnings, initiation, momentum. Historically, one years tend to show up when humanity shifts direction. 1963 when civil rights moved from the margins into undeniable public consciousness. 1982 when personal computing started moving out of institutions into individual hands. 2019 when we started asking deeper questions about truth and bodily autonomy, planting seeds that became impossible to unsee.
This year’s energy supports courage and self-determination, especially when we engage consciously rather than reactively. And January being half over doesn’t mean you missed anything.
Instead of resolutions, try this: choose a single word for your year. Don’t overthink it. The word that showed up first when you read that sentence? That’s the one. It came through your intuition, your inner guidance. Trust it.
My word arrived instantly a few days ago when a friend mentioned his own word choice. Clarity. Clarity in my quantum healing work, in the classes I create, in writing projects that have been bouncing around too long. Clarity in farm improvements – big cleanouts, throwing out old horse tack, letting things go.
That word becomes a lens. When decisions come up, when things feel overwhelming, I can ask: does this support clarity? Your word works the same way throughout the year. Quietly, steadily, without pressure.
The second practice: clear the energy of 2025 before moving fully forward. Energy accumulates like physical clutter. It can be small – decluttering a space, opening a window, lighting a candle, burning some sage. What matters is intention. Out loud, state that you’re releasing 2025’s energy and inviting in 2026. Sound carries power. Your nervous system listens.
Third: water alchemy before sleep. This comes from the work we explore in Beyond Quantum Healing. Bring a glass of water to your bedside. Hold it, take cleansing breaths, bring your word into awareness as a felt sense. Speak to the water – tell it your word, how you intend to embody it. Drink half the glass. Before setting it down, ask to dream about what you’ve initiated. In the morning, recall your dreams and drink the remaining water, reinforcing your intention across waking, dreaming, and waking again.
2026 invites you to become more yourself with clarity, intention, and trust in your own inner guidance. The energy supports forward motion when it’s aligned with authenticity rather than obligation. Small intentional shifts are where the deepest transformations begin.
