Manifesting Ender – The 11th Cat of Christmas
The Cat Distribution Network operates in mysterious ways! Can you really manifest an actual cat? Have a listen, let us know what you think!
One of our VERY favorite Family Christmas songs is “The 11 Cats of Christmas” ((A riff on the classic 12 Days of Christmas) by Trout Fishing in America, who graciously have allowed us to include a clip of that song in this video story.

The Cat Distribution System has always been very gracious. We have always had more than an abundance of cats, and we have very rarely in our lives found ourselves needing to go, or wanting to go, to a shelter, to go pick out a cat. They usually just appear. And though no one in our family has ever wanted a or desired a purebred cat, we’ve never really picked our cats. And I started thinking about what cat I might actually want if given the option and the Cat Distribution System didn’t just appear one around the house. And as our two beloved cats, Bennett and Tam, get older and older, they are 18 and a half now. One is blind and one has very specific food and intestinal needs, they will probably not be with us for a great many more years. I started thinking about what kind of cat might I actually want if given the option to pick one.
My ideal cat would have been a fluffy, long haired Tabby Cat, a cat who likes to talk and carry stuff around and likes to snuggle in bed. This would be my ideal cat, and we’ve never had one of those. So for the last two years, living in Japan without our beloved elderly cats, because available vet care where we live is very limited and I would not be able to take care of our elderly cats in a way in which they would need to be taken care of here. I have, for the first time in my life, been living without a cat, and I’ve been dreaming of this idealized cat for two years, what I thought this cat would look like, and how much I was looking forward to finally having cats in my life again. We still have another tour here in Japan.
However, on a trip home for Christmas, and between all of our tours here, we woke up to discover a cat in the garage the day after Christmas, and I remember mom coming in from the garage, and I was, I think, in the living room, and she goes, “It’s all your fault!” And sort of laughing while she says it. She says, “Come here.”
So we go into the garage and what do we see? But a very fluffy, very vocal tabby cat who has come into the garage to try to steal away some of the barn-cat food. And I have been dreaming and wishing so hard for this cat that he appeared there the day after Christmas. A whole two years early, might I add, before we could take him with us, and everyone thought this was just the most wonderful Christmas present, and we ended up naming him Ender.
This is because our one of our favorite Christmas songs is the 11 cats of Christmas. And in the 11 cats of Christmas every day, everyday, the man wakes up and finds himself in possession of a new cat, via the Cat Distribution System. They just show up on Christmas. Every single year, they show up on Christmas. And the day after Christmas, this cat that I have been dreaming of for so long shows up and makes himself the 11th cat on the farm. So the 11th cat at Christmas showed up, and then the song The 11th cat’s name is Ender, and that is how Ender got his name. And we are very excited to have Ender full time in our lives once we are back to the States. But I wished for him so hard and for so long, he showed up a little bit early, and that’s that’s the story Enndor and how we manifested my perfect cat.
This morning I went downstairs hopin’ I wouldn’t see another feline under that tree that was not too be. There was a hungry calico cat. I said, this is the end. I tore down the tree, threw it outside, picked up the kitty, looked her in the eye, and decided to call her Ender. So to you and yours Meowy Christmas with all our love; Ender, Oscar, Gracie, SweetPea, Princess, Chicken Joe, Cleo, Nelson, Newton, Tie-Dye, Me and Nicodemus.
Yes, but he’s a covert snuggler and will only let himself be cuddled at night, he still has too many important cat tasks during the day to be a daytime snuggler….yet.
Thank You Lauren for sharing this. Nice manifestation. I wish Ender and your family the best. Is Ender a good snuggler most jmportant trait ?
